A bit of history ….
The Mas d’Alerany is a XV century building, which has seen various additions over time, making this farmhouse unique in the region.
The tower was built during the reign of Philip II to defend himself from the Saracens.
Through out the civil war, during the battle of Ebro, the house was used as a rural hospital , as the living-dining room offered such large dimensions, it was the perfect place for a hospitalization floor.
Because of the origin of a previous owner ,one of the most curious architectural modifications was made. The building of an interior patio, which unified the main house to the different constructions.
Finaly, the last reform transformed the farmhouse into an enjoyable rural accommodation, of 350 sq mtrs, being both modern and functional, yet respecting it’s original and singular identity.
The house offers a very spacious 100 sq mtrs living-dinning room, with Sat TV and access to semi roofed terrace, barbecue, garden furniture and ping pong.
Access to the pool is exclusive to the guests, with adequate security measures (Independent access which can be locked by key.)
Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, coffee machine, toaster, washing machine, dishwasher, etc..
The main house has from 4 bedrooms. In addition there are refurbished three extra bedrooms on second floor that can be also rented for an additional fee.
Central heating through out the house.
With previous notice, available a sofa bed and baby-cot (cradle).
Also possibility of wine testing at the cellars.
